May 2nd Boca Raton Executive Club Meeting with Marvel Entertainment's Mort Handel!

He helped find Spider Man and the Incredible Hulk a new home alongside Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

Join us in this rare opportunity to find out more about Morton E. Handel, chairman of the board of Marvel Entertainment, trustee of The Hartt School, and a regent of the University of Hartford.

On May 2nd, Morton E. Handel will share his vast and varied corporate experiences with The Boca Raton Executive Club. Seats will fill up fast!

Mort Handel has held numerous corporate executive positions through the last five decades, including:

*President of S&H Consulting Ltd., a privately held investment and consulting company

*Director and Chairman of Concurrent Computer Corp.

*Director, Remington Products Co. (Electric shavers).

*Director of CompUSA Inc.

*Director of Linens ‘N Things from 2000 to 2009.

*Director of Trump Entertainment Resorts

*Chief Executive Officer and President from July 1997 to February 2001 of Ranger Industries, formerly Coleco Industries Inc.

*Chair of the Marvel Entertainment Board of Directors since October 1998, being a director since June 1997

While with Marvel, Mr. Handel helped orchestrate its sale to Walt Disney for $4 billion in a blockbuster Hollywood deal which put Marvel’s 5,000 characters to work for Disney in a union considered at the time to be one of the largest US corporate transactions of the year. It marked a stunning turnaround for Marvel, originally a comic book company, which filed for bankruptcy in 1996 under heavy debts as it faced a slump in comic book sales.

Additional, he has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Hartford. Handel served as a director of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra becoming a emeritus director, a Bushnell overseer, and a life regent at the University of Hartford. The University received a lead gift from the Handel’s to help establish the Hartt School's "Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center."
